Delete the Past that haunts you
A redact.dev review
There are services out there that delete your social media posts but they can't be trusted, there are JavaScript codes that you can run in your browser that deletes your old posts but that needs a little technical know-how and also they brake all the time, if you can't read what's the code is doing, it can be malicious.
Redact.dev runs on your local machine and no servers of their own are contacted for data removals, that's the great part.
I reverse engineered the app, its an electron app with @redact packages that contacts the services with API’s & automated browser, no redact servers are involved.
Mobile apps share common js packages and run via react native
Here's a little snitch screenshot:
redact.dev is only contacted for updating the redact module, logging in, checking payment etc
“We do a general internet check at startup to Google, AWS, and cloudflare when the app starts, The last one is used for feature flags”
You should run the android app behind a VPN just in case.
They have a data brokers opt out service as well, similarly there are services out there that do that but what makes redact.dev special, it happens all locally.
Here are some guides:

I am proposing bitcoin lightning payments to them. But for now you can use cakepay MasterCard

My advice is to signup on web through a new email maybe tuta then using their android app behind a VPN for removals.
